Bob Blatchley was born into a musical family in Brooklyn NY.
His mother was a singer, his uncle, a singer songwriter, both grandparents played stringed instruments.
Bob began playing at 11, writing songs at 15, and hasn’t let up since.
He played primarily acoustic shows through college, then co-founded “The Leaders”, a new wave original band,with Allan Fox, Jim Holland, Phil Curcio, shortly thereafter. The Leaders had moderate success on the east coast in the early 80’s.
After raising 4 children, Bob has rediscovered the Long Island music scene in the past few years.
His songwriting continues to mature, and now utilizes different instrumentation, including flute and hand percussion for recording and live performances.
He can be seen at many concert venues, restaurants, and vineyards on Long Island.
